The Lincoln-Way East Ski and Snowboard Club is back in action this season, giving students the chance to enjoy skiing, make new friends, and experience the joys of winter sports.
The club, open to skiers of all ability levels, has organized a series of weekend trips later in the year to local ski hills since the holiday break is approaching. Students meet after school to load buses and head out together for an afternoon of hitting the slopes, working on technique, and enjoying snowy fun.
During a recent outing to Devil’s head resort, dozens of members gathered early morning to travel to nearby ski areas where they spent the day racing down runs, trying new trails, and sharing hot cocoa in between laps. Many first-time skiers received guidance from more experienced peers, making the activity both social and a learning experience. The next ski trips will be January 17th, 31st, and February 14th with more to come.
The club meets to plan upcoming trips, discuss safety, and coordinate transportation and lift ticket arrangements. Advisors emphasize that the Ski Club aims to foster community and encourage healthy, active lifestyles during the winter months.
Currently the club is accepting more members and has a meeting on December 9th. For anyone interested in the club they can contact Mrs. Wang or join the Team with the code:h2qqvqq
