Last Thursday (October 3rd, 2024) the Lincoln-Way East girls’ volleyball team hosted their Annual Volley for the Cure Game, against Stagg, raising money and awareness for breast cancer. This year’s season has been outstanding ranking 5th in the state with an 18-3 overall. “Being a part of the team, this year has made me so happy, everyone gets along and we’re really pushing through to do our very best,” varsity player Charlotte Buck explained when asked how she thought the team was preforming so far this year. Last week during the varsity game against Stagg, LWE won 2-0. Varsity player Brooklyn Ritter congratulates the team complimenting how the team “did well,” and how they “played above Stagg’s skill level, preforming the best we could.” Team Captain Alaina Pollard, committed to Indiana University for Volleyball, made a statement explaining how the team is, “clicking very well at the best point of the season, not only is everyone super close off the court it really transfers onto the court,” she even explains how the team is “playing as one, which has lead us to good places this season.” Good luck next week at your tournament, and great job at the game last week girls! Go Griffins!
