The 2024 NFL Draft was an exciting event filled with surprises and standout moments that showcased the depth of talent available. Teams entered the draft with specific needs, and many were able to address those effectively. The top pick went to the Chicago Bears, who selected Caleb Williams, a highly touted quarterback out of USC, signaling their commitment to building a franchise around a young star. This choice set the tone for the draft, as teams scrambled to secure their own future quarterbacks. The first round saw several trades, with teams looking to move up and grab players they believed could make an immediate impact. Notably, the Dallas Cowboys traded up to select Marvin Harrison Jr., a dynamic wide receiver, adding another weapon to their already potent offense. The second round featured some surprising picks, including a running back, like Zach Charbonnet, who many expected to go in the first round but slipped due to team needs. This year things are similar. The number one pick was Cam Wards to the Titans! Their team needs a new QB and I think he will be a good fit. Cam Ward was a 0 star out of high school and worked his way up. He inspires many that hard work correlates to success. The second pick this year was Travis Hunter to the Jaguars. He plays receiver and Defensive-back. Many are questioning if he will play both ways or play one position only. Another top pick was Jaxson Dart to the Giants. A surprising thing in the draft was Sheduer Sanders falling to the 5th round. I believe this was because he was not a real good quarterback. When you look at his stats, he you can see why he had the best completion percentage. Overall, lots of people have points to prove this year!
