Ah yes. It’s the holiday season once again. A time of love, laughter, fun, togetherness and all that good stuff. But it is a bad time for a lot of people’s bank accounts. While it is a time of giving, sometimes there are just too many people to give to, and that’s on top of some crazy high prices. While you can just get some candy from the Dollar Store, that’s not as fun as getting a cute burr basket for your best friend, or buying another mug for your dad. Let’s look at some of the statistics. The average American spends about $641 on just gifts alone. That doesn’t include travel, gas, decorations, food, etc… Adding all that, the average American spends about $928.76 yearly. The Bouqs Co. Buttercream Bouquet was the overall most popular gift this year, ranging from $25 all the way to $100+, but for flowers for one person. How many people you are expecting to buy for will definitely shape how much you spend. I recommend setting a budget and dividing it evenly among the people you plan on buying for, or even taking some money from the less important people and adding it to the more important persons budget. Remember, hand made gifts are a thing too and you don’t need to be crafty to make them and they tend to be a lot cheaper. However you spend your holidays and how much you spend, I hope you have a great holiday season.
