Hello Lincoln-Way East Students, excited for the upcoming winter break? This holiday, I am coming to help you decide what to get your siblings! When it comes to selecting presents for siblings aged 5-18, you really have to know their interests and developmental stages. For the younger siblings around the age of 5, toys that foster creativity and learning can be great choices. Building blocks, art supplies, or interactive educational toys are not only entertaining but also contribute to the development of fine motor skills and cognitive abilities. Books containing interesting stories and colorful illustrations will help a child develop an interest in reading at an early age. Besides books, get them things that will help them later on in developing hobbies, such as coloring utensils, sport toys, etc.
For older siblings, especially teenagers, gifts in line with their hobbies and passions often go down well. For the techie sibling, gadgets like headphones, smartwatches, or even a tablet would be great. And for the sports enthusiast, equipment or an outfit regarding his favorite sport would do wonders. Teenagers who like to wear fashionable clothes might appreciate trendy attire or accessories, and teenagers who like music might like concert tickets or instruments. For my siblings, personally, I don’t get them anything over $25, so usually soaps, snacks, and stuff in that area. Hope you all have a great break!
