The future of the Varsity soccer team is looking bright. With JV1 and JV2 having amazing skill and with athleticism growing and thriving at LWE, the future of LWE varsity is truly looking bright. The current JV 1 record is 11-2-1 including having won many tournaments. Michael Lynch, Jr. a defensive player, that doesn’t let a ball get to his goalie, states that the team this year is very dangerous and much better. Coach Dan Radz of the JV1 team conduct shooting and passing drills, scrimmages, and a unique drill that helps with agility and speed such as releasing the ball within two seconds and working on turning, speed. The JV1 team is very hard working and will persevere through everything. All in all, this JV1 team is looking very great and skillful. It’s certain the future of the Lincoln-Way East Varsity boys’ soccer team is looking very bright. Another Athlete on the JV1 team Julian Guerrero, a striker has had an amazing season with many goals. With teammates always spending time together after practice hours, this helps to create a team environment. A team cannot win individually. Michael Lynch Jr. and Julian Guerrero are only two of the amazing athletes on the JV1 team. Let’s hope they keep up and win conference. Go, Griffins!
