Shows are some of the biggest parts of people’s everyday lives, and in my opinion comedy tends to appeal to everyone so I’ve created a list of comedy movies and tv shows that have been released recently within the last year and some that come out later this year for you to look forward to.
Comedy movies come out quite frequently, and I have 4 movies for you: Ricky Stanicky is a comedy movie based on a man with an imaginary name and lifestyle where he is finding his friends and becoming himself. This can be watched on Prime Video. Despicable Me 4, based on the first 3 Despicable Me movies introduces Gru’s son. This is still in theatres and can be bought for $20 on Prime Video. Inside Out 2 is a sequel to Inside Out 1 which is one of Disney’s most famous movies, and this is also only still in theatres. Kung Fu Panda 4 is a throwback type movie with all past villains, and this can be watched on Peacock or rented on Prime Video for $5.99. On the other hand, comedy shows do not release very often so due to that I only have 3 for you which are the following: Ted, a series based on the original story where a talking stuffed bear and a boy become friends. This can be watched on Peacock and Apple Tv. Rick and Morty: The Anime is based on the adult swim show Rick and Morty where a grandpa and grandson go on galactic adventures. However it has a different animation style, and this can be watched on Hulu and Max. Big Mood is a show where 2 best friends deal with the aspects of modern life and one of the friend’s bipolar disorder returning. It is ranked in the top 10 best comedy tv series of 2024, but the show can only be watched on Tubi.
