Every September as the leaves start to turn colors and a chill enters the air fall begins. And with the beginning of autumn, new fall drinks enter at our favorite local cafes and sweet shops. Two favorite shops, Grounded and Short and Sweet Tasty Treats, have recently released their fall drink menus. From a Smore’s flavored Latte to a Candy Apple Cold Brew, both shops have great fall menus that are sure to get you ready for the new season.

Grounded Coffee specializes in many customizable tea and coffee beverages along with many different food items. Their September menu features five apple flavored drinks which are great for fall. Grounded’s “How ‘Bout Them Apples Matcha” apple, vanilla, and caramel features combined with a Matcha tea base. The “Honey Apple Chai” also has apple, honey, and cinnamon flavors combined into their Chai tea. If you are not a fan of tea-based drinks, the “Apple of My Eye Latte” or the “Candy Apple Cold Brew” may be for you. Both drinks feature apple flavor combined with coffee. The Latte also includes the sweet flavor of kettle corn, and the Cold Brew incorporates a caramel apple cold foam. From tea to coffee, Grounded’s fall menu has something for everybody.

Short and Sweet Tasty Treats is one of my all-time favorite shops in Downtown Frankfort. Not only are the drinks and sweets great, but the excited and welcoming energy you receive from the second you walk in the door is timeless. Short and Sweets Fall drinks include three coffee-based drinks, a Pumpkin cream cold brew, a Smore’s latte, and a White Chocolate Macadamia Nut latte. These are all great drinks to help start off the fall season. One of my favorite items that short and sweet offers in the Fall is their Hot Camel Apple Cider. The drink features steamed apple cider along with a caramel drizzle and topped with whipped cream to complete this delicious fall beverage. Along with new fall drinks, Short and Sweet puts a fall twist on many of their chocolate creations. Their chocolate covered pretzels are now topped with brown, yellow, and orange sprinkles to give a classic treat a fall time twist.

With the new fall season emerging, many local drink and sweet shops feature new fall drinks. Grounded and Short and Sweet Tasty Treats add to the list of amazing falls featuring shops in the local area. I recommend trying these shops’ new fall drinks as a fantastic way to kick off this year’s Autumn season.
