Lincoln-Way East’s “By the Beach Side” Homecoming is a fantastic event that brings a tropical twist to the traditional homecoming festivities. The school gets decked out in beach-themed decorations, creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere. Students dress in Hawaiian shirts, leis, and other beach attire, adding to the excitement. The football game this year is between HF and LWE. This year, students will wear USA themed shirts, along with the USA jerseys the team wears. It’s a great way for students to show their school spirit, have fun, and make lasting memories with their friends. The week leading up to homecoming at Lincoln-Way East was packed with fun and creativity. Monday kicked things off with Merch Day, where students proudly wore their favorite band or team merchandise. On Tuesday, the halls were a sea of different class colors as everyone came together to show their school spirit. Wednesday brought a lot of laughs with Dress Like a Teacher Day, as students mimicked their favorite teachers’ styles. Thursday turned the school into a tropical paradise with Hawaiian Day, complete with leis and Hawaiian shirts. The excitement reached its peak on Friday with the big football game, where everyone rallied to support the team and celebrate the end of an incredible homecoming week.
