Grey’s Anatomy first premiered in 2005 when the majority of high school students were only toddlers. What is it about this show that has earned the title of longest running prime time medical show? What is it about this show that makes it so popular among teenagers today? Here are some thoughts from Lincoln-Way East. Nicole Caruso stated that Meredith Grey, the main character, is an icon. Also, she believes once Derek Shepherd died in a car accident the show went downhill, and Nicole thinks the sequel to Grey’s Anatomy which is named, “Station 19,” is a terrible show and does not recommend it. Nora Fitzgerald loves Grey’s Anatomy because she loves the medical environment. Lastly, Annie Beckman thought that the original cast was better and she agrees with the statement Nicole Caruso said about once Derek passed the show became boring to watch.
