Transitioning into a new school with thousands of new people can be scary, but I have some tips to make that transition easier. The first tip is to join clubs and sports. Clubs and sports are a great way to make new friends and get involved in the school! Not only do clubs and sports help you make new friends, but they are also what a lot of colleges like to see on your transcript. Another tip is to go school dances such as HoCo (homecoming) and TWIRP (turnabout). These dances are not mandatory, but are a very fun experience with your friends! I went to both dances last year and really enjoyed them! My last tip is to go to football games. Dressing up for the football game themes every Friday night is super fun! You also get to cheer on your classmates and school!! Finally, just enjoy high school while it last because it seems to fly by.
