Teen vampire romance is celebrating its 10th anniversary by coming back to theaters for two days only!

For those of you that have been living under a rock for the last l0 years, here is the overview. Twilight is the best vampire/werewolf romance movie ever! It is about Edward “the vampire” and Bella “the human” who are madly and uncontrollably in love. Twilight is a love story that reveals all the obstacles and challenges that are preventing them from being together. Then there is the “big decision!” You know it is when the girl must choose who she wants to be with. Well in this case, Bella must choose between the beautiful, sweet, and different Edward Cullen or the hot, protective, and caring Jacob Black, who is a werewolf.

The 10-year anniversary of Twilight is a revised version. They have swapped the genders, they have new names, and they have new roles! The former Edward is now Edythe and Bella is now Beau. Although it is still the same love story, it just might take a different route to get to who the hero or “she hero” is!

Ralph Ellison High School’s student, JaDayla Pringles, has very high hopes for the rewrite of Twilight, “I have a lot of faith in Stephanie Meyer. She has made some of the best books I’ve ever read! She really has an eye for a good plot that can really pull you in. So, if she is rewriting the plot of the original Twilight then I’m sure it will be great!”

Though some may really be looking forward to the revised version of Twilight, there are others that feel it is a terrible idea to revise a movie that was perfect already.

Lincoln-Way East senior Demariyae Fagairo says, “I liked the first Twilight. I thought it had amazing fight scenes. I don’t think rewriting the characters is a good idea, and I’m not going to watch the new one because I feel that they would be ruining a classic just for a profit.”

You can enjoy the new and improved love story of Bella and Edward or should I say, Edythe and Beau in the 10th Anniversary of Twilight. It is playing October 21st or 23rd at the Marcus Theatre in Orland Park at 2pm.
