Bryant, Soler, Schwarber. These are some of the names on the back of the jerseys of one of the future dynasties that baseball fans have been waiting for over a century to see prosper. This team is the Chicago Cubs, with a World Series draught of over 108 years Cubs. Fans can almost taste the pennant. Falling 8 wins short of a dream come true, “The Boys in Blue” are ahead of schedule and don’t even understand how good they are or will be. They entice the young, the old, the die hards, and the band wagoner’s by the way that they play with energy and flare. They played by the motto “Respect 90” which was implemented by first year manager Joe Madden. The team has vowed to give 100% in every aspect of the game. Respect 90 means that no matter if an action is good or bad that the players will give all they have until the 27th out. They play the game the way that it is meant to be played. They play the way that the Cubs greats such as Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, and Ryne Sandberg would want it to be played. This year may have seemed like a bust, but the future is bright on the North Side.
