Mr. and Ms. Griffin: An Inside POV

Mr. and Ms. Griffin: An Inside POV

Lexi Wols, Staff Reporter

After a fun filled spirit week, and an unforgettable anything but a backpack day, the week reached its grand finale at the Mr. and Ms. Griffin Show! The amazing contestants were Livi Wols, Sophia Barnard, Hailee Acton, Grace Vroom, Leyla Eames, Quentin Leak, Dom Adamo, David Baer, Matt Lombardo, and Jack Walsh. They all put on outstanding performances, and the talent at LWE is truly like no other. I had the opportunity to be in two acts, and the experience is something I will never forget. Down in the green room before the show, we all got ready and listened to music. Everyone was in such a great mood. Everywhere you looked, a smile was on everyone’s face. When the show started, we all gathered around the TV in the green room and sat down to watch the show. Every contestant wanted the best for every other contestant, and the support was so great to see. After every performance, upon their entrance back downstairs, we would all bombard everyone with clapping and cheers and great jobs! We were all just so happy to be there and so proud of everyone. It was an experience that brought so many different people together in the absolute best way. The night ended with Leyla Eames and Quentin Leak being crowned our Mr. and Ms. Griffin. The astounding Eddie Nicholson won the Talent Show! Our Mr. Griffin, Quentin Leak, states, “The competition was honestly so fun and doing it with people I’ve grown up with was even better. But truthfully hearing my friends and family cheering is what really made it so much more worth it.” Our Ms. Griffin, Leyla Eames, states, “Honestly it was such an honor to be with. I’ve never been in a competition where the environment was so kind. At the end of the day, none of us really cared about winning and it was about being in the moment and enjoying the last few moments of senior year. I’m so grateful to have shared this experience with the other insanely loving and talented contestants. This was such a PHENOMENAL experience!” It was a great memory for our seniors and an amazing night for all involved.
