The 7-1 Notre Dame football team have been on a role this season. They are currently ranked 8th on the NCAA’s national rankings. The Irish have been led by running back Kyren Williams and tight end Michael Mayers. Kyren Williams has 707 rushing yards on 143 attempts. He averages 4.9 yards per touch. Michael Mayers leads the team with 41 receptions with 465 receiving yards with 3 touchdowns. On the other side of the ball JD Bertrand leads the team’s total tackles with 44 on the year so far. Notre Dame’s team this year has been labeled “overrated” this year. Personally, I don’t think they have much of a shot at a national championship this year, but I still think they are a good team. Hopefully the Irish can finish strong this season and hopefully make a run at a national championship. Go Irish!
