After over a year, normal Friday night football games have returned. Our first game at home was against Crete Monee. The student and fan section were overloaded, and fans were standing all around the stadium. The student section was more lively than I have seen it be in years. Standing on the sidelines watching the game and hyping up the student section was a relief. We would have our senior year football season. The Griffins put up a fight the entire game and had a victory over Crete 35-20. “The team is eager to play and ready to see what the season has to come for us,” says senior left guard, Alex Knaperak. I am excited to see where this year takes the team as Friday Night Lights have returned.
